Green & Seifter Attorneys Speak at Estate Planning Update Seminar

Syracuse, NY - March 1, 2010 - Three attorneys from the law firm of Green & Seifter, Attorneys, PLLC spoke at the 2010 Estate Planning Update held recently in Syracuse. David A. Holstein, Sharon A. McAuliffe, and Kim V. Heyman discussed the ramifications of there being no federal estate tax in 2010, the new opportunities available for converting existing IRAs to ROTH IRAs, and estate planning options in the current economic environment.

Holstein serves on the Board of Managers at Green & Seifter Attorneys, PLLC. His trusts and estates practice includes estate, retirement, business succession and tax planning, and probate and trust administration for individuals, estates and trusts, family-owned businesses, private foundations and charitable organizations. Holstein is a graduate of Harvard Law School (J.D. 1975) and Harvard College (B.A. 1972). He is admitted to practice in New York and Florida.

McAuliffe, a Member of the firm, focuses her practice in the areas of trusts and estates, and employee benefits, including employee benefit issues in mergers and acquisitions. Her experience includes assisting clients in all aspects of the estate planning process including the planning and preparation of wills and trusts. McAuliffe is a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law (J.D., 1992), The Maxwell School of Syracuse University (M.P.A., 1979), and the University of Notre Dame (B.A., 1974). She is admitted to practice in New York.

Heyman is an associate practicing in the areas of personal and estate planning, business succession planning, employee benefits, and tax planning for individuals, charitable organizations and businesses. Heyman is a graduate of New York University School of Law (J.D. 1995/LL.M. Taxation, 1999) and the University of Pennsylvania (B.A., 1990). She is admitted to practice in New York and Pennsylvania.
