Green & Seifter Attorneys Part of Legal and Financial Feasibility Team for Proposed Chamber and MDA Partnership

Syracuse, NY - February 18, 2010 - Laurence G. Bousquet, Member of Green & Seifter, Attorneys, PLLC led a group of G&S attorneys who were part of the Legal and Financial Feasibility Team to examine the possibility and potential for a partnership between the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce and Metropolitan Development Association of Syracuse and Central New York. The attorneys, together with members of the accounting firm of Testone, Marshal & Discenza, spent six months examining every aspect of the legal, financial, and strategic impacts of bringing the two organizations together. The Metropolitan Development Association and the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce announced their partnership plans at a press conference on Friday, January 8. The merger has been approved by the organizations’ boards and voting by the members should be completed by mid-February. Bousquet serves on the Board of Managers at Green & Seifter. He has performed extensive work involving acquisitions, sales and mergers, syndications, partnership and limited liability company law, general business, estate taxation and business transition planning, and New York and federal income, estate, and gift taxation.
