At Green & Seifter we are committed to protecting and sustaining our natural environment. The firm has adopted an on-going initiative to reduce its carbon footprint by taking the following steps:

  • Ongoing initiative to expand usage of an electronic document management system to convert files to paperless documents.
  • Double-sided copying whenever possible.
  • Promotion of "Think before you Print".
  • Collection and recycling of all paper products.
  • Replacement of Styrofoam cups with cups made of recycled paper.
  • Recycling bins for bottles and cans. Since this is not an initiative in our building, our employees take responsibility in this effort.
  • Firm-wide collection of batteries for disposal at a safe designated drop off site.
  • Collection of used printer and ink cartridges to benefit local schools.
  • Partnering with local non-profits and organizations for reuse of unneeded computers, supplies, and furniture.
  • Presentation of archival legal documents to clients on CDs/Litigation discovery via PDF and CDs.

In addition to the simple every-day steps, Green & Seifter Attorneys participate in a yearly Earth Day clean up project with Housing Visions of Syracuse, New York. The firm also supports the use of public transportation by participation in Centro's "Fare Deal" program which allows employees to use pre-tax dollars for bus fare.

Project K.O.P.E.G.

Beginning in 2009, Green & Seifter Attorneys has partnered with Green & Seifter CPAs and Project K.O.P.E.G. (Keep Our Planet Earth Green) to collect and recycle used electronics, including cell phones, digital cameras, and ink cartridges. All resulting proceeds will benefit local charities in our community. Please contact Kathy Ryan, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, at 701.6458, or kryan@gslaw.com for more information. Help us keep these items out of landfills and raise money to provide food and critical needs to underprivileged persons through food pantries and charities right here in our community by donating your used electronics to this program.

Continuing Efforts
